EJ came to town on Sunday March 28th 2010 to teach some clinics in association with the Valley Mill Kayak School and show us the latest JK Creeker= The Villain. Here are a few pics from the event we had at Valley Mill Boat Shop, following EJ’s on-water clinic.

EJ’s courses are officially called “Strokes and Concepts, and Playboating.” This means learning to do the basics more easily, and then applying them to playboating and running rapids. Each course will start with a tune-up of foundation skills like basic strokes, body positioning, and the concepts of kayaking. Then the course will head out on the river to work on using the techniques in real life. The course is geared to modern short playboats, and is especially great for experienced paddlers who are moving into these boats. We will have the full Jackson Kayaks line available for demos. There are clinics for anyone who has a solid roll, all the way to advanced paddlers. If you missed this year’s clinics, don’t fret, because EJ will be through town again to do another clinic next year!
